HUNTER VALLEY HULLABALOO

SATURDAY 5TH + SUNDAY 6TH MARCH 2022

These sessions will be held on a KURRI KURRI TAFE complex, where the wild kangaroos roam!

These sessions are in liaison with the PFA NSW, Professional Florists Association of NSW and set at Kurri Kurri Tafe in the Hunter valley Region. The Tafe itself not only has Kangaroos, it has onsite accommodation set amongst Australian bushland.

Interesting fact outside of Kangaroos and FLOWERS. Kurri Kurri is in The picturesque Hunter Valley region, home to spectacular food and wine as well as a huge variety of unexpected, fun and exciting experiences! For example did you know Kurri Kurri is Currently mainland Australia’s largest Mural town with more than 60 outdoor unique murals. Enjoy a pictorial journey! Now let’s get back to the flowers….

What we have planned

In the first session we will forage & adventure around the grounds, before we dive into our creative floral workshop where we’ll be designing a stunning offset Wedding styled bouquet, Rambling and delicious.

On our lunch break we will have time to enjoy the Kangaroos company!

After lunch we will design a beautiful simple side crown & indulge in some creative discussions, all set in the onsite workshop spaces, overlooking the gorgeous Australian bushland.
…and that’s just day one!

Day two is an individual build followed by a group build.

I will guide you, step by step to design your own fabulously over the top wearable Native flower headpiece! A little wild and totally fabulous of course.

Again, we break and hang with the Kangaroos and fill our bellies with delicious food from the onsite restaurant.

This piece will be followed by our group build. As a team we will design a suspended installation in the form of a giant circular swing to feature in our shoot.

The group build will be followed by a Photoshoot & Creative discussion on colour theory and use of light in imagery
