She currently travels Australia Demonstrating within the Floral industry for reputable Growers, Floral accessory suppliers and the Floral Association (FAQI).

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD at the EKKA – 15th August 2018
Group build Did you see or Do you remember our very fun & super fantastic Flower Beard build at the Ekka this year? All of those amazing florists who flew in from far and wide to have a little bit of a giggle, think outside the box with flowers and create many a smile at the Ekka.
Well we are going to do it again next year, but we’re not just going to create beards and smiles, We Are going for a World Record Attempt!!!!
So the question I pose to you all….
Who’s up for breaking a Guinness World Record at the Royal Brisbane Show (EKKA) next year?
FAQI, @flowers will be curating the event and
I (Julia Rose) will be ‘conducting’ the beautiful bunch of creatives who build!
We are looking for 50 florist volunteers and 50 beards to attempt to break the most number of beards decorated with flowers. A call out on social media earlier this week has secured nearly 20 florists from as far afield as Victoria, NSW and North Queensland (as well as half a dozen beard volunteers).
The folks from Guinness World Records will be on hand to adjudicate the record attempt on the day and then all the florists and beards will be paraded in the EKKA’s People’s Day Grand Parade. We will supply the flowers and venue and the attempt will be at Midday on Wednesday 15th August, in Brisbane.
We are currently signing all the paperwork with the Brisbane Show organisers and the Guinness World Record people but are collecting names of those interested.

Selected to open International Fashion Week, design gowns, archways and botanical artworks for red carpet VIP and celebrity events, you will be inspired to create your own masterpiece in these workshops.

WORKSHOP 1 – Wreath or Floral Hoop [$86+ BF]
Sunday 3rd September, 1.15pm – 2.45pm
In this creative and fun filled workshop you will learn how to create a floral wreath or floral hoop (if you prefer).
Set aside the thoughts of a boring and traditional wreath, this piece will be modern, simple and organic, hence more so a floral hoop. Bohemian wild and gorgeous.
You start by weaving your own hoop from raw vines, then attaching foliage and branches with wiring techniques, finishing off with a simply stunning little offset design of flowers and feature seed pods. The base of your design will dry out over time making it easy for you to recreate your design over and over again in the future with the skills you learn on the day.
Pre-bookings Required

Australian Flower Festival 2018

The inaugural Australian Flower Festival is being held in Brisbane on Wednesday,
19 September to coincide with Australian Flowers Week.
The event will attract more than 250 professional florists and will also be open to the public in the
competition and demonstration areas to promote the industry.
Flower Fest will engage and inspire florists and provide a platform for them to address
the issues affecting their livelihoods and future, in addition to offering the perfect opportunity to showcase the professionalism of the Australian floristry industry.

A little bit about how the product came to life……..
For quite some years I suffered Terrible allergies to Chemicals (acute chemical hypersensitivity). I was happy and normal then ‘BAM’ I was literally a bubble girl for years. Due to the allergies we had to turn our lives upside down and get back to nature in a very raw way.
It was very challenging in the beginning as we were use to the conveniences of the modern world, however now that we live naturally I would never go back. So essentially becoming ill was a blessing in disguise.
Which leads me to the first part of our new RAW ESSENTIALS range.
100% pure essential oils, plant base solubiser and spring water create our – Aqua Spritz ‘ROSIE POSIE’ is a blend of subtle sweet Rose with the fresh and invigorating Overtone of Lemon Myrtle & Sweet Orange.
In our first release I was trying to capture the scent of my floral studio intertwined with our fresh farm air. Sweet, fresh and indulgent.

Australian Flower Festival 2017

The inaugural Australian Flower Festival is being held in Brisbane on Monday,
18 September to coincide with Australian Flowers Week (16-24 September). The event
will attract more than 250 professional florists and will also be open to the public in the
competition and demonstration areas to promote the industry.
Flower Fest will have a fresh, new, modern format to attract florists from around Australia.
The fun festival theme and imagery by Julia Rose will be featured in all communications
and promotional materials.
Southbank TAFE campus is the ideal venue for the event, with accessible indoor and
outdoor spaces to accommodate the Inspiration Stage, Business Stage, Tech Stage and
Competition Stage. The program will include speakers, demonstrations, trade displays
and competitions during the day and a cocktail party in the evening. The competitions
will run all day concurrently with the event program, and the trade display stands will
be dotted throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. Catering will be provided for the
cocktail evening, with street food vans and local coffee shops allowing attendees to
purchase their own refreshments throughout the day.
